The Global War Against Women: Catholic bishops. Again.

Those bishops! Gotta give ’em credit for persistence. Not content with using the media to loudly proclaim their “religious rights” — that’s their “right” to deny Catholic Church employees birth control via their insurance policies — they have now invaded my territory: lawsuit-land.

“Bishops Sue Over Contraception Mandate,” reads the headline in the New York Times.

The bishops say the requirement [the mandate to provide contraception to all employees] is an unprecedented attack on religious liberty because it compels Catholic employers to provide access to services that are contrary to their religious beliefs.

Keep fighting, you bishops! You may be too dense to notice — and your logic too dense to parse — but women will, perhaps quietly (maybe they’re not telling you or their mates), leave such a Church en masse. [And that is a pun.]
