The god problem and “Eye of the Tiger”

Another part of the god problem: it costs.

It costs the god people when they fail to adhere to plain ole lowly people laws. (Maybe the bible says somewhere that god says you can use any piece of music as your anthem even though the actual owner of the piece of music hasn’t given you permission. I mean, being a rights-holder isn’t the same thing as being blessed by god.)

Mike Huckabee’s campaign needed to pay $25,000 the rights-holders of the Survivor song “Eye of the Tiger” after the former candidate for the presidency played it at a rally for Kim Davis last year without permission. [CNN]
