The legality of being alive but dead…to the IRS

From Harper’s Weekly Report, May 18, 2016 (by Joe Kloc*)

…a man in Minnesota received a letter from the I.R.S. informing him that his tax returns could not be processed because he was deceased. “I did not believe it,” he said.

This has happened before. Never gets less funny–to those of us human lives who have not yet been declared dead. Even though we’re not.

*I’m glad Harper’s is now giving us the name of the pretty astounding person (who could compile all these things in a week?) who compiles all these things. In a week. And puts them together into this marvelous feature.

Bless you, Joe Kloc.
