What madness is a giant marshmallow?

From Harper’s Weekly Review:

[A] British court ruled that giant marshmallows are an ingredient rather than a snack and are thus not subject to value-added tax.

No no no. Let’s go back to the “giant marshmallows” reference. I’ve personally never seen a giant marshmallow and personally never want to.

A giant marshmallow is neither ingredient nor snack. It is an alien presence. Whether an alien presence should be subject to a value-added tax is irrelevant, in a typically British kind of way.

The court should be addressing the potential for violence and ruination.
