What’s the purpose of Twitter? Aside from addicting its users? Like me?

The company is urging its 330 million customers to change their passwords because the company stored those passwords in plain text on its internal network. There’s no evidence of an external breach; it was just dumb. So now I know why Twitter just suggested I change my password. A suggestion I ignored. But I do pay attention to 538 so maybe…
