When you consider urban sprawl, consider this…

…from Harper’s January 2024 Findings:

Ur was not as resistant to urban sprawl as was previously thought.

I had no thoughts about Ur, not even previously. Has this new thought about Ur altered the city planners views about, oh, say, Houston today? (“Houston” is pronounced Howston, and was so pronounced by the residents of Ur. The ones of the Chaldees.)

(At one point zillions of years ago, Ur was a seafront town, but the sea ebbed away and now Ur is inland. Maybe Howston, which floods regularly, is biblically waiting things out.)
