I never have — because I won’t give to any organization allied to any religion. And I’ve been aware for years that the Red Cross, in particular, doesn’t use the vast amount of money it collects for the emergency services it claims to provide.

And the next time you see one of those heart-warming Red Cross TV ads, try thinking “rape” before you dial in a donation. It should freeze your fingers.
