Many years ago, it was my father who told me the tune of the then-hit song, “It’s All in the Game,” sung so beautifully by Tommy Edwards, had been composed by a Vice President of the U.S., as a violin melody.
I just remembered this and dug the info out of Wikipedia because I put one of my numerous oldies/doo wop collection CDs on the player and Tommy Edwards came up first.
Until I read the Wikipedia entry, I hadn’t known that Dawes won the Nobel Peace Prize. Now I do.
“Teen Angel” is playing now.
