In observance of Father’s Day, the liquor company that makes Fireball Whisky released a limited-edition fanny pack depicting a hirsute beer belly to celebrate the “dad bod”, and a bar in London offered free pints to bald men. Schlitz Beer, whose tagline is “The Beer that Made Milwaukee Famous,” brewed its final batch, and a man was arrested for hurling a beer keg into the window of a bakery in Washington, D.C. Three companies affiliated with the U.S. president entered a trademark dispute with the California-based Republican Red Winery, a company that claims to stand for “connection through wine, not conflict through whining.”

Animal news: surprising diets

Police in Alberta, Canada, arrived to a theft report to find a red fox eating several hot dogs, and French police officers warned drivers in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region to be on the lookout for drunk deer that wander onto roads after eating fermented fruits. “If Bambi overindulges on the forest aperitif,” they wrote, “it might not be the time to drive like you own the road.”
