For the past year or so, MAGAts have been retreating somewhat from their open sneering at everyone who’s against Trump. Sure, occasionally I’ll read a letter from one of them desperately clinging to and repeating the same old fake accusations, in a tone that’s sort of robotic. Usually, although not always, these letters come from outside our metropolis. Which is, to them, a hellhole of violence.
So the Knicks won and New York City, the throbbing heart of everything MAGAts think is monstrous, celebrated.
So what did the MAGAts say? They started their comments praising the Knicks, and segued very quickly into a nyah-nyah-nyah “too bad Knicks’ fans are thugs who are burning buses and jumping on cars and fighting police.” See? We’re awful and dangerous folk here in New York. We don’t know how to celebrate peacefully.
Then I spotted a small newspaper item: the NYPD has arrested one person so far in connection with the violent New York celebrations.
He is a resident of St. Cloud, Florida.
